little boys and their toys

We recently had Ben's 1st birthday and he got a lot of cool stuff; of which most he probably won't even play with. [ha, ha!] He usually likes to play with stuff that belongs to Dad and Mom that will cost a lot to replace. Anyway, I did go ahead and buy him a car. I know, I know, I know ... he's too young. I just couldn't pass it up ... I got a heck of a deal on it.

Amanda and Ben came up and ate lunch with me yesterday at work. Have I told you that Ben loves the Aflac Duck?

happy 1st birthday

Here are a few pictures from Ben's first birthday. We are so blessed to have so many close friends and family come and share this special time with us. Ben was so excited to have that many folks in our house at one time. He loved everything but the cake. Wasn't at all interested in getting dirty ... he actually gets that from both me and Amanda. Enjoy the pictures of Ben's ... happy 1st birthday!

peek-a-boo, ducks and monkeys

Apparently Ben now likes a good ole fashion game of peek-a-boo ... well, until he attempts to snatch the laptop off of your lap. He has also figured out how to identify ducks and monkeys. I've been telling everyone that he's the smartest kid in the world ... that will all change if that is still his only accomplishment at 14.

So Ben gave us some disappointing news after his first birthday party ... however, it quickly turns good at the very end ... no worries! Check it out for yourself ... click "Play."

wendy's and washer fluid

Have you always wondered what it would be like to sit in a Wendy's drive-thru with Amanda, Ben and me? While most of you will answer "no" to this question, you will probably click "Play" anyway.

aquarium interview

While leaving the GA Aquarium, I had a rare opportunity to interview Ben to get his thoughts and overall impression of his underwater experience. His response will astound you ... well, probably not.

underwater voyage

I am blessed to work for a company (Aflac) that endeavors to take care of their employees. They do a phenomenal job at it. To cap off our Employee Appreciation Week a few weeks ago, we were able to go to the Georgia Aquarium ... Aflac picked up the tab. Ben was overwhelmed when we got there ... he had so much to look at it and take in. It was an awesome experience for him. Just a quick thank you to Greg and Jenny for letting us stay with y'all that night. You all have a beautiful family.

So join Amanda, Ben and me for our ... underwater voyage!

toll booths

Yea, so apparently pennies are not acceptable at the toll booths on GA 400 in Atlanta.
